Description

We will be hosting a focused virtual session for HR and People leaders exploring a growing challenge: how to recognize capability accurately as roles, work and expectations change. Organizations are making increasingly consequential decisions about work redesign, reskilling, redeployment and opportunity. Yet many of those decisions still rely on familiar signals such as confidence, visibility, previous experience or current-role success.

This session will examine how those signals can distort the way capability is recognized, and what organizations can do to improve the quality of the decisions that follow.

Uptimize CEO Ed Thompson will lead a practical discussion grounded in a decade of work with organizations on neurodiversity, inclusion and people decision-making.

The session will explore:

- Why organizations can intend to reward one capability but respond to something else

- How AI and changing roles are increasing the importance of accurate talent evaluation

- Where capability is commonly misread in hiring, management, progression and skills deployment

- How poor evaluation can weaken reskilling, mobility and workforce pipelines

- What helps organizations make better decisions about the capability they have and can develop

This session is designed for Heads of People, Talent, Learning, Skills and Workforce Transformation looking to make better decisions about capability as work changes.
